We are currently recruiting for an Assistant Chef to join our team at Vimy
Barracks, Catterick Garrison, DL9 3PS. This is an exciting opportunity for a
passionate and motivated individual to support a busy military catering operation,
helping to deliver high-quality meals while maintaining excellent standards of food
safety, hygiene, and customer service.

What you'll be doing
- Assisting with the preparation and cooking of meals for breakfast, lunch, and
dinner services
- Supporting chefs with food production and presentation
- Ensuring ingredients are prepared and stored in line with food safety
requirements
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout kitchen and food
preparation areas
- Assisting with stock control, deliveries, and stock rotation
- Following recipes, portion controls, and production schedules
- Completing food safety and due diligence records as required
- Supporting the wider kitchen team during busy service periods
- Adhering to all health & safety, food safety, and company procedures
- Previous kitchen or catering experience is desirable
- Passion for food and willingness to develop culinary skills
- Good understanding of food hygiene and food safety standards
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Positive and flexible approach to work
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Commitment to delivering high standards of food quality and service
- Successful candidates will be required to complete a DBS check.
- Security clearance will also be required prior to commencing employment.
