We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Cleaning Operative to join our facilities team in Lisburn, United Kingdom. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene standards of our workplace environments to the highest level. The successful candidate will demonstrate efficiency, professionalism, and a strong commitment to health and safety compliance whilst working both independently and collaboratively with our team. Your contributions will directly impact the comfort and well-being of everyone in our organisation.

  • Perform comprehensive cleaning and sanitisation of all workplace areas, including offices, communal spaces, and facilities, to consistently high standards • Operate and maintain a range of cleaning equipment and machinery safely and effectively • Follow detailed cleaning protocols and procedures to ensure consistency and quality across all areas • Restock cleaning supplies and report shortages to management promptly
  • Maintain accurate records of cleaning schedules and report any maintenance issues or hazards immediately • Adhere to all health and safety protocols, including COSHH compliance, and wear personal protective equipment as required • Respond promptly to cleaning requests and address spillages or accidents with urgency and professionalism
  • Work flexibly to accommodate varying shift patterns and organisational requirements • Contribute to a positive workplace environment through professional conduct, teamwork, and excellent customer service • Identify and communicate potential safety hazards to management in a timely manner • Undertake induction training and engage in ongoing professional development opportunities
  • Proven experience in a cleaning or facilities maintenance role (desirable) • Proficiency in using a range of cleaning equipment and machinery • Sound knowledge of cleaning products, their applications, and safe handling procedures • Understanding of health and safety regulations, particularly COSHH compliance
  • Strong organisational and time keeping skills • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards • Physical fitness and stamina to perform manual cleaning tasks consistently • Ability to work independently and take initiative when required • Strong people skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team • Excellent communication and customer service orientation • Reliability and punctuality
  • Problem-solving ability and adaptability to different cleaning environments • Ability to work flexible shift patterns and respond to changing organisational needs • Willingness to undertake induction training and ongoing professional development • First Aid certification (desirable) • Commitment to following detailed cleaning protocols and maintaining compliance standards
