Operations Supervisor

Purpose of the Job

The domestic supervisor works closely with the operations team members, other supervisors, and operations team leaders to ensure all processes and functions handled by the domestic team are implemented per Aramex quality of service standards to ensure providing a satisfactory service to customers.

Job Description

• Ensure all late collections are closed within the collection window period and share missed collections with the customer service team before the end of your shift.
• Management of internal teams to ensure productivity targets are met in line with customer SLA and internal procedure.
• Ensure all customer expectations are met in line with defined SLA’s.
• Coordinate team members to meet client defined KPI’s and SLA’s, inclusive of arranging night shift/day shift and other staffing requirements.
• Reporting on performance and improvement metrics.
• Ensure the couriers are using the Ecourier 100%, debriefing is done daily.
• Manage relationship with client.
• Manage relationship with staff with regards to growth opportunities and motivation.

• Bidair cargo masters must match with the waybill number including the weight.
• Management of all departments associated with the product across the business.

• Ensuring that the disciplinary code and procedures of Aramex are consistently and fairly applied to all levels of staff in cases of misconduct. All policies and procedures must be made known to all operations staff.
• Ensuring all operations staff clock in and out in strict accordance with their set shifts, and that slack timekeeping is monitored, and corrective action taken where necessary. Disciplinary action must be instituted against repeat offenders.
• Monitoring and ensuring the safety and security of staff and freight in the warehouse.

Job Requirements - Experience and Education

• Matric (Grade 12) - bachelor’s degree preferable
• Must have a valid Code 8 Driver’s license and a valid Public Driver’s Permit (PDP)
• MS Office applications (Word, Excel, & Outlook)
• Must have at least 3 years’ experience in Operations
