JOB SUMMARY:

The Director - PMO at Argano is a senior leadership position responsible for the overall project management function within the organization. They define the project management vision, set strategic direction, and lead a team of senior managers and project managers. They are responsible for leading and managing the organization's project management function. This role involves planning, executing, and closing projects to ensure they are completed on time, within scope, and on budget. The Director of Project Management will provide strategic direction, leadership, and guidance to a team of project managers and cross-functional project teams. They make final decisions on professional and supportive matters and ensures operations effective achievement of objectives.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Define and communicate the strategic direction for project management.

· Lead and mentor a team of senior managers and project managers.

· Oversee a large portfolio of complex projects and programs.

· Align project management with organizational goals and initiatives.

· Set project priorities and allocate resources effectively.

· Develop and implement project management standards and best practices.

· Monitor and report on the performance and outcomes of projects.

· Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency in project management practices.

· Collaborate with C-level executives to drive the organization's mission.

· Ensure resource optimization and budget control across projects.

· Promote a culture of excellence and accountability in project management.

· Forecast and report on project financials to senior management.

· Promote best practices and continuous improvement in project management methodologies.

· Stay current with industry trends and advancements in project management.

MINIMUM AND/OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION:

· Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems or related field.

· Master's degree in business administration (MBA) or PhD in a related field expected.

EXPERIENCE:

· 10+ years of extensive project management experience, with a significant portion in leadership roles.

· 5+ years of people management experience.

· Demonstrated experience in executive leadership and overseeing the entire project management function.

· Proven expertise in managing complex programs and large-scale initiatives.

· In-depth experience in financial and budget management at the executive level.

· Experience developing and implementing a strategic vision for project management in alignment with the organization's objectives.

· Experience leading large teams with multiple direct and indirect reports.
