Cloud Engineer (IaaS)

• Administer and monitor enterprise cloud environments, including subscriptions, identities, resources and automated processes.
• Design, implement and operate Azure Enterprise-Scale Landing Zones based on the Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework.
• Build and maintain cloud services across compute, storage and networking.
• Monitor cloud resource utilisation and consumption and maintain related reports and workflows.
• Provision and de-provision development environments and DevOps projects.
• Develop and maintain automation using PowerShell, Terraform, Ansible, Bash, Go or object-oriented programming languages.
• Prepare and maintain technical policies, guidelines, standard operating procedures and operational documentation.
• Provide second-line cloud support to application development teams and coordinate escalations with third-line support.
• Implement changes through established change, configuration and release management processes.
• Participate in technical coordination and project meetings.

• At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in information technology.
• At least 2 years of experience in a Cloud Engineer or comparable position.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent Level 6 qualification.
• Holding certificates:
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305),
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104)
  • or equivalent level, internationally recognized alternative in AWS or GCP
• Hands-on experience designing, implementing or operating Azure Enterprise-Scale Landing Zones using the Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework.
• Strong knowledge of Azure services covering identity, networking, compute, storage, containers, databases and related enterprise services.
• Experience with Infrastructure as a Service and DevOps principles.
• Strong scripting and infrastructure automation skills using technologies such as PowerShell, Terraform, Ansible, Bash or Go.
• Experience administering and scripting Linux environments, preferably Red Hat.
• Basic experience administering Microsoft systems.
• Knowledge of cloud security, compliance, auditing and monitoring tools.
• Experience with ticketing systems and Information Technology Infrastructure Library based processes.
• English language skills at B2 level or higher.
• Strong organisation, prioritisation and communication skills, with a proactive and user-focused approach.
