DevOps Engineer - III

The core responsibilities for the job include the following:

Infrastructure and Cloud Engineering:

• Design, implement, and manage scalable cloud infrastructure (AWS / GCP / Azure).
• Architect and maintain highly available, fault-tolerant systems.
• Drive Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.

Containerization and Orchestration:

• Manage and optimize Kubernetes (K8s) clusters in production environments.
• Improve container orchestration, deployment patterns, and cluster reliability.

CI/CD and Deployment Automation:

• Design and optimize CI/CD pipelines for faster, reliable releases.
• Implement deployment automation using tools such as Spinnaker or similar.
• Ensure zero-downtime deployments and rollback strategies.

Programming and Automation:

• Develop automation scripts and tooling using Python.
• Improve system reliability through automation and operational tooling.

Monitoring, Reliability, and SLA Management:

• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting frameworks.
• Define and maintain SLA/SLO objectives to ensure system availability.
• Lead incident management, root cause analysis (RCA), and system improvements.

Linux and Systems Engineering:

• Administer and troubleshoot Linux/Unix-based systems in production.
• Optimize performance, networking, and security configurations.

Security and Compliance (Good to Have):

• Partner with Infosec to implement infrastructure security best practices.
• Support compliance initiatives and security hardening efforts.

Requirements:

• 6-10+ years of overall experience in DevOps / Cloud Engineering.
• Proven experience working in production-scale environments.
• Ability to independently design and own infrastructure components.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams.

Must Have:

• Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes (K8s).
• Cloud platform experience (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Strong programming skills in Python.
• Deep experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines.
• Hands-on experience with Terraform (Infrastructure as Code).
• Strong Linux/Unix system expertise.

Should Have:

• Experience with deployment tools such as Spinnaker.
• Experience implementing monitoring and alerting systems.
• Strong understanding of SLA, SLO, and high-availability architecture.

Could Have:

• Exposure to security best practices in cloud environments.
• Experience working with compliance frameworks.
