What You'll Do
- Build, develop, and improve game features by applying Advanced C++ (11/14) and OOAD principles.
- Acquire a detailed understanding of game architecture, codebases, and development workflows.
- Analyze requirements and achieve flawless completion of assigned tasks with quality and efficiency.
- Identify and fix software problems using common development tools to guarantee high-performance game features.
- Use AI-assisted development tools to improve efficiency, code quality, and learning experiences.
- Participate in code reviews and adhere strictly to coding standards and engineering guidelines.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile/Scrum environment to successfully implement game features.
- Continuously learn and apply new technologies, tools, and AI-enabled development practices.
- Contribute to the quality, performance, and maintainability of game software to compete in the industry.
What We're Looking For
- Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts.
- Familiarity with C++ (11/14) and data structures.
- Basic understanding of software build principles and debugging techniques.
- Familiarity with development environments on Windows and Linux.
- Exposure to version control systems such as Git or SVN.
- Awareness of Generative AI tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar) and their application in software development.
- Experience using AI tools for code generation, debugging, documentation, or efficiency improvement.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Enthusiasm to learn, adjust, and take responsibility for assigned tasks.
- Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science/Engineering or related field.
- 1-2 years of professional software engineering experience.
- Prior experience in the gaming industry is preferred.
- Preference for candidates who have completed an internship with Aristocrat or the Early Hire Program.
