Requirements
About this Role
You are the person who keeps the factory moving.
As an Operations Associate, you look after the day-to-day running of our IMT Manesar facility: the factory floor, local purchases, order follow-ups, stores and the paperwork that holds it together. You make sure the right material reaches the right place at the right price, and that every open order is closed without anyone needing to remind you. You work with the Founder's Office, and your steady execution on the ground helps our engineers and the wider team stay focused on building.
What you'll Do
Factory and facility operations
- Coordinate daily factory activity at IMT Manesar and flag floor issues the same day
- Work with service vendors: security, CCTV, DG, housekeeping, utilities, and maintenance
- Follow up with contractors until civil, paint, glass, or AC rework is closed and signed off
- Maintain gate, visitor, vehicle and material movement records
- Support ESD-safe housekeeping and floor discipline
- Keep a daily operations log and send an end-of-day update to the Founder's Office
Purchasing and Vendor Management
- Handle day-to-day purchase of consumables, tools, hardware, electrical, and local components
- Collect 3 quotes where value justifies it and prepare a comparison sheet
- Negotiate price, delivery, and credit terms within approved limits, and keep a vendor rate history
- Check vendor basics before onboarding: GST, Udayam/MSME, address, and bank details
- Build a reliable local vendor base across Gurugram, Manesar, Faridabad and Delhi NCR
- Track advance payments and follow up with accounts on approvals
Order and Shipment Tracking
- Maintain a live PO tracker: orderd, in transit, received, delayed
- Chase vendors and escalate delyas early, with a proposed fix
- Track courier and freight (AWB, LR) and confirm delivery
- Support import shipments with documents and CHA coordination (support role)
- Manage defective or rejected material: return challan, RMA and replacement follow-up
Stores and Inventory
- Receive goods and match them against PO, invoice, and challan (GRN)
- Maintain stores registers, issue and receipt records, and bin labels
- Run periodic stock counts and flag shortages and reorder needs to the engineering team
- Handle electronic components with care (ESD, moisture, labelling)
Documentation and Reporting
- Maintain trackers in Excel or Google Sheets: POs, vendors, expenses, stock
- Prepare monthly factory expense summaries for finance
- Pass correct vendor bills and supporting documents to accounts
- Write meeting minute, action lists, and simple SOPs and checklists
- Support the Founder's Office with ad-hoc on-ground follow-ups
Good to have
- Exposure to electronics, EMS or defence manufacturing
- An existing vendor network in Gurugram, Manesar, Bawal, Faridabad, or Delhi NCR
- Familiarity with an ERP or purchase tracker tool
- A basic idea of import documents: BOE, AWB, HSN
- Experience handling ESD-sensitive components
You'll thrive here if you are
- An owner who treats every open order as yours until it is closed, not just until it is forwarded
- Someone who chases with a smile and escalates early, with a fix in hand
- Careful with details, because a wrong challan or a missed GRN match matters
- Happy to say "I don't know, I'll find out" rather than guess
- Down-to-earth, and just as ready to walk the floor, visit a vendor or sort a store's sheld as to update the tracker

Tips
Irrespective of whether you apply at Armory or not, some of the following tips will definitely help you in your job search.
How to get hired
Targeted Applications: Ensure your application is tailored specifically for the job you're applying for by understanding its requirements and showcasing relevant experiences and skills. Apply for THIS job, not some job.
Quality Over Quantity: Instead of applying to 100 jobs casually, it's far better to apply to 4 seriously.
Stand Out: Most people don't put any effort into applying to jobs; their applications look exactly the same. It's easy to stand out from them just by putting a little effort and showcasing your relevant experience and interest for the said job.
How to NOT get hired
If your cover letter starts with "Honestly, I possess all the skills and experience that you're looking for," then you are not going to make it.
In fact, we wrote a long thread on all the ways you will NOT get hired. https://x.com/singhamardeep/status/1459114743398998018?s=46 We highly recommend that you read it.
We wish you the best in your job search!
