AROBS is looking for a Quality Engineer is within our verification team that manages testing and verification for medical devices.

This role will lead the software verification and validation activities for diagnostics product software.

To support these goals, specific systems engineering technical expertise with a rich history in complex system verification techniques, test environments, system integration, and validation is crucial to the successful deployment of client’s products.

Working with cross-functional teams, you will be responsible for ensuring accuracy, consistency, and robust documentation for the design, development, and testing of software applications embedded in diagnostic and interventional cardiology devices.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with design engineering in the completion of product verification and validation
  • Specify and execute test cases based on analyzed requirements and overall test strategy
  • Create test documentation, including test specifications and impact testing, and Ensure product & process quality as per customer requirements and defined software development guidelines
  • Appropriately document experiment plans and results, including protocol writing and reports
  • Review user/software requirements documentation with relevant stakeholders
  • Apply sound, systematic problem-solving methodologies in identifying, prioritizing, communicating, and resolving quality issues
  • Provide updates to the management team as required
  • Ensure close communication and working relationships with R&D, regulatory, quality, PMO, and other necessary functional teams
  • Responsible for exhibiting professional behavior with both internal/external business associates that reflects positively on the company and is consistent with the company’s policies and practices; build productive internal/external working relationships
  • Performs other related duties and responsibilities, on occasion, as assigned
  • Lead test planning and strategy for complex projects, ensuring alignment with regulatory standards and business objectives.
  • Mentor and guide junior testers, providing technical oversight and best practices for verification and validation.
  • Drive automation initiatives to improve test efficiency and coverage.
  • Collaborate on risk analysis and mitigation strategies for software and firmware components.
  • Represent the testing function in cross-functional design reviews, influencing decisions based on quality and compliance.

Qualifications

Requirements :

  • BS degree in Computer Science or a related engineering field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5 years of firmware testing experience, especially in a medical device or similar environment
  • Understanding of the software development life cycle, verification and validation, and defect processing
  • Proficiency in C/C++, white box testing, and code review experience
  • Experience testing physical devices from technical designs, specifications, requirements
  • Strong English communication skills or excellent documentation skills (highly regulated development environment)
  • Proven experience in test automation frameworks and scripting for embedded systems
  • Experience in leading test teams or projects, including resource planning and reporting
  • Advanced problem-solving and root cause analysis skills for complex systems

Nice to have :

  • Strong knowledge of regulatory and quality standards (FDA, ISO, IEC)
  • Ability to influence design decisions through quality and risk-based approaches
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and integration of automated tests
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity and data integrity requirements for medical devices
  • Familiarity with scripting languages Python is a plus
  • Experience in delivering products for the Medical Device industry or IVD experience
  • An appreciation of detailed engineering documentation and sound technical skills
