The ideal candidate is an energetic problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has heavy experience working with and analyzing large volume datasets. You will lead revenue and margin assurance, while ensuring precise GAAP compliance. In this role, you will also own treasury administration and liquidity reporting related to our large, syndicated debt facility. • Own treasury administration and preparation of all debt and liquidity reporting.
  • Perform month-end close responsibilities including complex journal entries, account reconciliations, variance analysis, and reporting. Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and accelerate the close process.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for your accounting processes, document these processes accordingly with SOP creation and maintenance, and recommend and implement efficiencies through automation and best practices.
  • Utilize strong GAAP knowledge to ensure compliance, perform technical accounting research, and document findings as needed.
  • Assist with the creation and delivery of key reporting metrics and analytics for leadership.
  • Assist with system implementations and integrations as identified or needed.
  • Prepare and/or perform queries and large dataset calculations as needed.
  • Create ad-hoc reports and analyses to support cross-functional teams as well as the finance and accounting team.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior analysts and accountants, fostering professional growth within the team.
  • Perform other duties as needed or assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field. MAcc or MBA is a plus.
  • 5+ years of experience in financial accounting, reporting, or audit. Public accounting plus industry experience highly preferred.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification required.
  • Experience with SQL query construction and data visualization is highly preferred.
  • Experience with NetSuite or other major ERP systems is a plus.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong analytical, organization, and problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to process high volumes of transaction data without compromising accuracy.
  • A proactive, hands-on approach with a strong sense of urgency.
