XR Developer — Unity or Unreal Engine / Meta Quest

About the role
Arventure is looking for an experienced XR Developer for a full-time, 2–3 month project contract. You will help build motion-synchronised VR for an immersive attraction operating on moving transport. The experience must remain comfortable, stable and responsive on Meta Quest 3. Candidates may work in Unity or Unreal Engine.

What you will do
Develop and maintain the Meta Quest application using Unity or Unreal Engine, with clean, production-ready code and architecture.
Integrate real-time data inputs and translate them into stable, synchronised movement.
Build robust synchronisation and smoothing systems that remain stable across changing data conditions.
Build internal replay, debugging and monitoring tools for development and testing.
Handle temporary data interruptions and recovery safely, and maintain reliable headset tracking in a moving transport environment.
Profile CPU/GPU performance and maintain a stable 90 Hz experience on Meta Quest 3.
Collaborate with the 3D Environment Artist to integrate and optimize the route and transport environment.
Maintain clear Git history, reproducible builds, data converters and concise technical documentation.

What we are looking for
Around five years of professional development experience in Unity, Unreal Engine or comparable real-time 3D systems.
Commercial experience developing VR applications, preferably for Meta Quest or comparable standalone XR hardware.
Strong real-time engine architecture, debugging and performance-profiling skills.
Experience with OpenXR, Meta XR SDK, Unity XR or Unreal Engine XR frameworks and mobile/standalone performance constraints.
Experience with real-time data synchronisation, signal processing or filtering is strongly preferred but not mandatory.
Understanding of interpolation, smoothing, missing-data handling and real-time systems is an advantage.
Confident use of Git and the ability to explain technical decisions clearly.
English at B1 level or higher. Ukrainian is not required.

Equipment
Access to Meta Quest 3 or 3S is required for testing. Candidates should indicate whether they currently have access to one of these devices.

Working conditions
Full-time workload under a 2–3 month project contract.
Fully remote work; applications are welcome worldwide. The ability to travel to and legally enter EU countries is preferred.
Flexible working hours with clear milestones and agreed delivery deadlines.
Potential to continue collaborating on the same project after the initial contract.

Arventure шукає досвідченого XR Developer для повної зайнятості за проєктним контрактом тривалістю 2–3 місяці. Ви долучитеся до створення синхронізованого з рухом VR-досвіду для імерсивного атракціону, що працює в рухомому транспорті. Досвід має залишатися комфортним, стабільним і чутливим на Meta Quest 3. Кандидат може працювати в Unity або Unreal Engine.

Ваші завдання
Розробляти та підтримувати застосунок для Meta Quest у Unity або Unreal Engine, використовуючи чистий, готовий до продакшену код і продуману архітектуру.
Інтегрувати вхідні дані в реальному часі та перетворювати їх на стабільний синхронізований рух.
Створювати надійні системи синхронізації та згладжування, стійкі до змін у вхідних даних.
Створювати внутрішні інструменти відтворення, налагодження й моніторингу для розробки та тестування.
Безпечно обробляти тимчасові переривання даних і відновлення та підтримувати надійний трекінг гарнітури в рухомому транспортному середовищі.
Профілювати CPU/GPU та підтримувати стабільні 90 Гц на Meta Quest 3.
Співпрацювати з 3D Environment Artist над інтеграцією та оптимізацією маршруту й транспортного середовища.
Підтримувати зрозумілу історію Git, відтворювані збірки, конвертери даних і стислу технічну документацію.

Наші очікування
Близько п’яти років професійного досвіду розробки в Unity, Unreal Engine або подібних системах 3D у реальному часі.
Комерційний досвід розробки VR-застосунків, бажано для Meta Quest або іншого автономного XR-обладнання.
Сильні навички архітектури рушіїв реального часу, налагодження та профілювання продуктивності.
Досвід роботи з OpenXR, Meta XR SDK, Unity XR або XR-фреймворками Unreal Engine та розуміння обмежень мобільних і автономних платформ.
Досвід синхронізації даних у реальному часі, обробки сигналів або фільтрації є значною перевагою, але не обов’язковою вимогою.
Розуміння інтерполяції, згладжування, обробки відсутніх даних і систем реального часу буде перевагою.
Впевнене використання Git і здатність чітко пояснювати технічні рішення.
Англійська від рівня B1. Українська мова не є обов’язковою.

Обладнання
Для тестування потрібен доступ до Meta Quest 3 або 3S. Кандидатам необхідно вказати, чи мають вони зараз доступ до одного з цих пристроїв.

Умови роботи
Повна зайнятість за проєктним контрактом тривалістю 2–3 місяці.
Повністю віддалена робота; розглядаємо кандидатів з усього світу. Перевагою буде можливість подорожувати до країн ЄС та мати законне право на в’їзд.
Гнучкий графік із чіткими етапами та погодженими термінами виконання.
Можливість співпраці у майбутніх проєктах після завершення початкового контракту.
