Java Backend Engineer

Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise-grade applications using Java

and Spring Boot.

· Contribute to the migration of existing C++ services and applications

into modern Java-based microservices and APIs.

· Analyze legacy codebases, understand business workflows, and translate

requirements into scalable software solutions.

· Develop RESTful services and integrate with internal and external

systems.

· Write clean, maintainable, secure, and high-performance code following

engineering best practices.

· Participate in system design discussions, code reviews, and technical

solutioning.

· Troubleshoot production issues and support application performance

optimization.

· Collaborate with architects, product owners, QA engineers, and

cross-functional teams throughout the software development lifecycle.

· Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives around development

processes, automation, and engineering excellence.

· Support and enhance CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes

wherever applicable.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Technical Skills

· 3-5 years of hands-on software development experience.

· Strong proficiency in Core Java (Java 11/17 or higher preferred).

· Solid experience in Spring Boot and the Spring ecosystem.

· Experience developing and consuming REST APIs.

· Strong understanding of object-oriented design principles and design

patterns.

· Experience with relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or

similar.

· Working knowledge of version control systems such as Git.

· Familiarity with software development best practices, including code

reviews, unit testing, and debugging.

· Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Preferred / Good-to-Have Skills

· Exposure to CI/CD tools and pipelines such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions,

Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.

· Basic to intermediate DevOps knowledge, including build automation,

deployment pipelines, monitoring, and troubleshooting.

· Experience with container technologies such as Docker and orchestration

platforms such as Kubernetes.

· Understanding of cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure or AWS.

· Exposure to microservices architecture and distributed systems.

· Familiarity with messaging technologies, event-driven architectures, or

middleware platforms.

· Prior experience working on application modernization or technology

migration projects.
