Backend Engineer

We're looking for a backend engineer who enjoys building scalable systems, solving complex technical problems, and shipping fast. You'll work closely with product, AI/ML, and frontend teams to build reliable backend infrastructure and APIs that power our platform

Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs.
• Develop robust microservices and distributed systems.
• Work on database design, optimisation, and data modelling.
• Integrate third-party tools, APIs, and AI/LLM services.
• Improve system performance, reliability, and security.
• Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to ship features end-to-end.
• Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to technical decisions.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues.

Requirements:

• 2-4 years of backend engineering experience in product/startup environments.
• Strong proficiency in Python, Node.js, or Go.
• Experience building REST APIs and backend services at scale.
• Solid understanding of databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis).
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP/Azure).
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding of system design, caching, queues, and distributed systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills and an ownership mindset.
• Ability to move fast in a high-ambiguity startup environment.
