Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior Ruby on Rails Developer with strong experience building scalable SaaS applications. The ideal candidate should have expertise in Ruby on Rails, AWS, Datadog, MySQL, Sidekiq, authentication systems, and third-party integrations, along with a strong focus on writing production-grade, well-tested code.

Key Responsibilities

· Develop and maintain production-grade Ruby on Rails 7.x applications.

· Design and build REST APIs, authentication workflows, and reusable backend services.

· Design and optimize Sidekiq Pro/Enterprise job architectures, including queue management, retries, concurrency, and scheduled jobs.

· Build resilient integrations with third-party services and AWS components.

· Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize application performance using Datadog APM.

· Design and optimize MySQL databases, indexing, and query performance.

· Implement secure authentication using Devise, OAuth, Okta SSO, and RBAC.

· Participate in CI/CD, code reviews, and Agile development practices.

· Leverage AI coding assistants such as GitHub Copilot or Cursor to improve development productivity.

Required Skills

· Strong expertise in Ruby on Rails 7.x.

· Experience writing production-grade code with high test coverage (RSpec).

· Hands-on experience with AWS (S3, SQS, Secrets Manager, IAM).

· Strong knowledge of Datadog APM, monitoring, dashboards, and alerting.

· Expertise in MySQL, schema design, indexing, and query optimization.

· Strong experience with Sidekiq Pro/Enterprise and Redis.

· Experience with Authentication & Authorization (Devise, OAuth, Okta SSO, RBAC).

· Experience integrating third-party APIs (Twilio, Plaid, Elasticsearch, etc.).

· Knowledge of Docker, Git, GitHub Actions, and CI/CD.

· Experience using GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or similar AI coding assistants.
