- Collaborates with physician offices to obtain the information necessary to schedule surgeries in accordance with departmental guidelines while accommodating physician preferences and patient needs.
- Assigns operating rooms, equipment, and block times to optimize resource utilization and support efficient surgical operations.
- Ensures accurate entry of patient demographic, billing, and insurance information into electronic medical records and coordinates with Patient Admitting as needed to prevent delays in scheduled procedures.
- Adjusts surgical schedules as needed to accommodate emergencies, changes in priorities, and other unforeseen circumstances.
