Junior IT Support Engineer (Onsite/Service Point)

We are looking for a Junior IT Support Engineer (Service Point / Onsite Support) to join our team.

This role is suitable for candidates who enjoy assisting users, have an interest in IT technology and are keen to develop their careers in IT support and service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

1. Frontline IT Support & User Assistance

• Provide first-level IT support and assistance to end users at the onsite IT Service Point.
• Respond to IT-related enquiries, service requests and workplace technology issues.
• Provide guidance to users on IT services, equipment usage and company IT procedures.
• Coordinate with internal IT teams and external vendors to resolve issues and fulfil service requests.

2. IT Asset & Inventory Management

• Maintain accurate records of IT assets, including laptops, desktops, peripherals and other IT equipment.
• Assist with IT asset allocation, collection, tracking and inventory updates.
• Monitor IT equipment and consumable stock levels.
• Coordinate procurement requests and replenishment of IT equipment when required.

3. Device Deployment & Hardware Support

• Assist with the deployment and handover of laptops, desktops and other IT equipment.
• Support device collection, replacement and return processes.
• Ensure proper documentation and updating of IT asset records.

4. IT Service Requests & Administrative Support

• Process, track and follow up on IT service requests.
• Maintain accurate service records, documentation and inventory reports.
• Assist with administrative and operational activities relating to IT service delivery.
• Provide users with information on mobile subscriptions, roaming services and applicable IT policies.

Job Requirements

• Minimum Nitec, Higher Nitec or Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Information Systems or a related discipline.
• Fresh graduates and candidates with up to 2 years of relevant IT support experience are welcome to apply.
• Basic understanding of computer hardware, Windows operating systems and common IT peripherals.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications and basic IT troubleshooting would be an advantage.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-service-oriented attitude.
• Organised, meticulous and able to maintain accurate records and documentation.
• Willingness to learn and work collaboratively with IT teams and end users.
• Able to work independently in a customer-facing onsite environment.
