Job Mission
The GCP Cloud / DevOps Engineer will play a key role in supporting our existing infrastructure and accelerating its transition to Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The role will design, automate, secureand operatecloud infrastructure, developer platforms, toolsand delivery pipelines. The mission is to improve the reliability, scalability, securityand DevOps maturity of the Wilton software development infrastructure.
Primary duties - Implementing architectural improvements in cloud infrastructure, SCM, build, testand deployment platforms.
The role will work in a Development Operations Team (DevOps), architecting, implementing, operatingand continuously improving state-of-the-artGCP cloud, build, continuous integration, developmentand test infrastructure. A successful candidate will provide secure, resilient platforms that enable software developers and test engineers to deliver products of the highest quality. Responsibilities include:
Design, implement and operate GCP infrastructure and platform services, including networking, identity and access management, compute, storage, loggingand monitoring.
Develop and maintainreusable Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, including modules, environment configuration, policy controls, code review, testingand automated deployment.
Implement and operate GitOps-based delivery workflows using tools such as Argo CD, with Git as the source of truth for cloud and Kubernetes configuration.
Build and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Atlassian Bamboo or Jenkins, integrating automated quality, complianceand security checks.
Implement cloud security monitoring and threat detection capabilities, including centralized logging, alerting, vulnerability findings, incident triageand operational response. Apply least-privilege access, secretsmanagement and security-by-design practices.
Use observability practices and tools to monitorplatform availability, performance, capacityand cost; define actionable dashboards, alertsand operational runbooks.
Partner with software, platform, securityand infrastructure teams to migrate workloads to GCP and improve reliability, scalabilityand operational readiness.
Champion Agile and DevOps ways of working, providetechnical guidance and mentoring, and continuously improveautomation, test frameworksand engineering standards.
Assistin the design and maintenance of robust and maintainable build and deployment plans fora range of ASML scanner products.
Be a champion and mentor for an “Agile” way of working. Display a willingness/ability to participatein a SCRUM team to continuously deliver improvements in all areas of Development Operations.
Assistin maintainingand improving Test automation frameworks and dashboards.
Education
Bachelor's Degreeor equivalent experience in a related field;with a preference for degrees in Computer Science/Engineering or Physics.
Experience
The following experience is required:
Hands-on experience designing, deployingand operatingproduction workloads on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Strong hands-on experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code, including reusable modules, state management, review, testingand automated deployment practices.
Hands-on experience with GitOpsprinciples and tools such as Argo CD, preferably for Kubernetes-based platforms.
Experience implementing security threat detection and monitoring for cloud environments, including centralized logging, alerting, vulnerability findingsand incident triage.
Strong understanding of cloud security, including IAM, least privilege, service accounts, network security, secretsmanagement and policy controls.
Experience creating and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Atlassian Bamboo or Jenkins.
Strong understanding of Git-based SCM, branching strategies, pull requestsand code-owner/review practices.
Strong Linux/UNIX and scripting skills using Bash, Python and/or Go.
Experience with containers and Kubernetes; experienceoperating Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) is preferred.
Experience with cloud observability, reliability and operations, including metrics, logs, traces, dashboards, alertingand incident response.
Experience with release engineering processes and the software development lifecycle.
Experience integrating ticketing, documentation and knowledge-sharing systems such as Jira and Confluence is preferred.
Experience with test automation frameworks and developer productivity tooling is a plus.
