Introduction to the Role
ASML US, including its affiliates and subsidiaries, bring together the most creative minds in science and technology to develop lithography machines that are key to producing faster, cheaper, more energy-efficient microchips. We design, develop, integrate, market, and service these advanced machines, which enable our customers - the world’s leading chipmakers - to reduce the size and increase the functionality of their microchips, which in turn leads to smaller, more powerful consumer electronics. Our headquarters are in Veldhoven, Netherlands, and we have 18 office locations around the United States including main offices in Chandler, Arizona, San Jose and San Diego, California, Wilton, Connecticut, and Hillsboro, Oregon.

- Coach and grow engineering talent through regular 1:1s, development plans, technical mentoring, career discussions, performance feedback, and meaningful stretch opportunities.
- Build the next generation of technical leaders by identifying emerging talent and creating opportunities for engineers to expand their technical leadership, project ownership, and cross-functional influence.
- Shape the technical direction and priorities of the team, partnering with architects, systems engineers, project leaders, and other engineering disciplines to translate product needs into robust electrical solutions.
- Drive prototype and product development through the Product Generation Process, including requirements definition, design reviews, prototype/pilot builds, verification, qualification, release, and engineering documentation.
- Provide leadership and technical oversight of electrical designs, including system architecture, electrical schematics, PCA/PWB development, component selection, interfaces, subsystem integration, and verification strategies.
- Lead engineering decision-making and structured problem-solving for complex technical challenges using analysis, modeling, experimentation, prototyping, root-cause investigation, and data-driven tradeoffs.
- Promote innovation and continuous improvement, encouraging the team to explore new technologies, engineering methods, automation, AI-enabled engineering tools, and more efficient ways of designing and validating products.
- Manage gated project plans and engineering commitments, balancing technical scope, schedule, resources, risk, budget, quality, and stakeholder expectations.
- Own workforce and resource planning for the team, aligning capabilities and engineering capacity with current programs, technology roadmaps, and future business needs.
- Allocate and negotiate engineering resources across multiple concurrent projects, ensuring priorities are clear and engineers are positioned for both successful execution and professional development.
- Represent EDEV across cross-functional teams, collaborating with Manufacturing, Test, Sourcing, Supplier Quality, Customer Service, Systems Engineering, Program Management, and other development organizations.
- Build strong relationships with internal and external partners, influencing decisions and creating alignment across organizational and technical boundaries.
- Lead or significantly contribute to DFMEA/PFMEA, design reviews, risk assessments, and technical readiness reviews, ensuring actions and engineering risks are driven to effective closure.
