Quality Team Lead

About the Job

As a Quality Team Lead at Aspire, you will be responsible for end-to-end QA ownership across digital banking channels. You will lead testing activities across multiple release cycles, ensuring effective test planning, quality assurance, stakeholder communication, and successful delivery of testing activities. The role requires strong leadership, technical expertise in banking system testing, and excellent communication with both technical and business stakeholders.

What You Will Do

• Define test strategy, scope, and approach for each release cycle.
• Estimate testing effort, timelines, and resource allocation.
• Ensure comprehensive coverage of functional, regression, and integration testing.
• Lead and manage the testing team, including Test Engineers.
• Assign tasks and monitor the daily progress of team members.
• Provide guidance, support, and mentoring to junior testers.
• Coordinate testing activities for each release and drop.
• Ensure readiness of test cases, test data, and environments prior to each testing cycle.
• Manage test cycles, retesting, and regression execution.
• Oversee defect triage and prioritization.
• Ensure proper defect lifecycle management from logging through to closure.
• Monitor defect trends and quality metrics to drive continuous improvement.
• Act as the primary QA point of contact for Product Owners, Development teams, and Integration teams.
• Provide daily and weekly status reports to project stakeholders.
• Proactively highlight risks, issues, and mitigation plans.
• Attend daily standups and provide real-time status updates.
• Ensure thorough validation of integrations with Core Banking systems such as Equation, Cards systems such as HPS PowerCARD, and external systems including SWIFT, Loyalty, Brokerage, and other integrations.
• Define and enforce QA best practices and standards.
• Improve test coverage and testing efficiency across digital banking channels.
• Introduce automation and optimization strategies where applicable.

What You Will Need

• Strong experience in banking application testing.
• Proven experience leading and managing QA teams.
• Strong understanding of functional, regression, and integration testing.
• Strong experience with test planning, test strategy, and release management.
• Strong knowledge of Jira and test management tools.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience with digital banking platforms across Web, iOS, and Android.
• Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
• Experience testing customer access and security features, including authentication, device binding, and MFA.
• Experience testing dashboards, account management, and transaction history.
• Experience testing payments and transfers, including local, international, instant, and scheduled transactions.
• Experience testing card management features, including card issuance, controls, tokenization, and digital wallets.
• Experience testing loyalty, rewards, and campaign management features.
• Experience testing beneficiary management and notifications.
• Experience testing profile and settings features, including language switching and RTL/LTR support.
• Awareness or knowledge of IT security best practices as defined by ISO/SOC or similar standards.
