The opportunity sits within a major Corporate Banking Transformation program, which is the second-largest initiative within the financial institution. The program supports lending, payments, and company credit for large and medium-sized enterprises. The average payment value is around €1 million, with approximately €300 billion processed through the system on a daily basis. The overall program consists of around 30 squads, with 10-12 IT professionals per squad. Within this initiative, this specific opportunity is linked to the platform team, which consists of DevOps engineers. They are responsible for 15 environments in total: 7 development environments, 7 test environments, and 1 production environment.
You will join a highly collaborative, self-organized, and meticulous team. To thrive in this role, you should be detail-oriented, focused, and a natural fit for this type of close-knit environment. Additionally, you will play a key role in making our hybrid on-site/nearshore model work smoothly in practice. This includes traveling to our office for a few days every 6 to 12 weeks.
Regarding the work organization, there is also an on-call and weekend component, but it is very well-structured within the team:
- On-call duty: You would be on call for one week every six weeks. It is usually quite calm, with typically just one issue coming up per day.
- Weekend shifts: Around once every six weeks, there is a weekend that requires some work, mostly related to system releases.
