Senior Software Developer

ASEE Turkey is looking for a Senior Software Developer to join the Banking Business Unit development team.

The ideal candidate is a self-motivated, multi-tasker, and demonstrated team player. You should excel in working with large-scale applications and frameworks, and have strong communication skills with the ability to take ownership when needed. You will be a senior developer taking an active role in the development of new software products and enhancements to existing products. Depending on performance and project needs, you may take responsibility for the technical leadership of a specific product, reporting to the overall development lead.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of experience in the design and development of complex software products using Java technologies, including both back-end and front-end development, with strong knowledge of Java Enterprise Edition (Java EE/Jakarta EE).
• Strong technical design, troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical thinking skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions and work both independently and collaboratively.
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience with Apache Kafka. Knowledge of and experience with Apache Flink or Apache Spark is a plus.
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience with graph databases.
• Experience in database design and development using Oracle, PostgreSQL, or Microsoft SQL Server.
• Strong knowledge of the Spring Framework or other modern Java back-end frameworks.
• Experience with application servers, Angular, Agile software development methodologies, event-driven architectures, and microservices architectures.
• Hands-on experience in Machine Learning projects.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Big Data platforms in production or real-world projects is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or a related field.
• Advanced proficiency in English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Determine and identify high-level functional and technical requirements based on interactions with the user community and knowledge of enterprise architecture.
• Design architectures, including software, hardware, and communications, to support current requirements as well as future cross-functional needs and interfaces.
• Collaborate with product owners and project managers to plan project schedules and technical direction.
• Perform quality assurance reviews and evaluate existing and new software products.
• Develop high-level system design diagrams for development, testing, debugging, and documentation.
• Develop and implement moderate to complex web-based applications on one or more platforms.
• Ensure software is up to date with the latest technologies.
• Contribute to end-to-end solution design, including technology selection and implementation approaches.
• Collaborate with product owners and project managers on requirements, timelines, and technical standards.
• Mentor mid-level and junior developers.
