Senior Manager / Assistant Director - Partnerships & Product, Biomedical Data Hub
The Biomedical Data Hub (BDH) curates and maintains strategic deidentified health data cohorts and supports researchers and innovators with expertise in bioinformatics and A.I. Its mission is to act as a trusted research node that unlocks the value of digital health data to support cutting edge science and digital health solutions that will benefit Singapore and Singaporeans. BDH is a national initiative created by Singapore's Bioinformatics Institute and hosted by the Agency for Science Technology and Research (A*STAR) in partnership with Ministry of Health (MOH) Singapore and is funded by Singapore's National Research Foundation (NRF).
As Senior Manager / Assistant Director - Partnerships and Product, you are responsible for shaping BDH's product and services offerings. Your ability to deeply understand user needs, both stated an unstated, and translate those into technical requirements are critical to your success. You also possess excellent judgement when it comes to prioritizing the product and services development pipeline.
You are a systems thinker and excellent communicator who can strike a balance between speed and compliance. Your work will bring together users, developers, and operations teams.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain an up-to-date pipeline of data cohorts that could be supported by BDH by surveying local and overseas scientific and innovation activities
- Maintain and drive BDH product and development roadmap
- Map user journeys and workflows for entire data lifecycle and define standard processes for data on-boarding, management, analysis and off-boarding
- Create specifications for development and services teams to implement
- Create and maintain controlled forms and document templates
- Create and maintain standard toolset for BDH analytical environment
Requirements:
- Degree in Science, Biomedical Engineering, Business Administration or related field
- Strong people skills
- Detailed and process oriented
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills
- Basic financial and accounting literacy, including the ability to conduct benefit/cost analysis
- MS Office proficiency (esp. MS Excel and PowerPoint)
- Previous product management and/or services management experience a plus
- Working knowledge of data science / analytics software (e.g. R, Python) and related libraries
- Previous experience in bioinformatics and/or data science strongly desired
