Ataccama ONE is an agentic data trust platform with data quality at its core. It combines data quality, observability, catalog, lineage, reference data and master data management in one product, so that some of the world’s largest enterprises can trust their data - and let AI agents act on it. Core is the group behind our well-established product suite - the foundation of Ataccama’s business today and the reason we have such a large, trusting enterprise customer base - and this role spans the full stack of its Data Quality team, from backend services to the user interface.
We are looking for a smart, curious engineer who wants to grow. You may be a few years into your career or already senior - what matters is that you enjoy complex products and want to own what you build.
Your Challenge
- Develop and maintain a truly complexself-service data trust platform that lets business users validate, govern and work with data without learning SQL or depending on more technical colleagues - across the whole stack, from the engines in the back to the screens in front of the user
- Work on a well-established, complex product with a large enterprise customer base - improving and optimizing existing solutions rather than designing everything from scratch
- Design, develop and maintain backend services in Java and Kotlin with Spring Boot: scalable systems built to perform under huge amounts of data, on microservices, messaging systems and robust, well-designed APIs (REST and GraphQL)
- Take real ownership of the frontend as well - build and evolve our React / TypeScript application so that data quality features are not just powerful but genuinely easy to use
- Collaborate closely with our product manager and with internal stakeholders from other teams to turn user and customer problems into pragmatic, technically sound features
- Own featuresend-to-end, from design through unit and integration testing to production deployment and operations - we expect software that is ready to deploy and run in cloud environments, and we will help you get there
- Take part in design and architecture discussion s - your voice counts regardless of seniority, and the more experience you bring, the more you will shape how our product is developed
- Make the platform agent-ready - expose our data quality and metadata capabilities to the built-in Ataccama AI Agent and to customers’ agents through APIs and MCP, and bring AI-assisted experiences into the UI where they help users most
- BuildAI-first: use AI coding agents as a normal part of how you design, write, test and review code on both ends of the stack, and help the team raise the bar on how we work with them
You might be a great fit if you
- Have solid experience in backend development with Java and are curious or experienced with Kotlin
- Are genuinely interested in frontend development with TypeScript and React - you don’t need to be a design wizard, but you want to own what the user sees, not just the API behind it
- Enjoy backend work that goes deeper than standard CRUD APIs - data-intensive engines, complex applications and platform-like architectures
- Like solving problems and have a maker mindset - you see challenges as opportunities, jump in and find what works
- Don’t mind doing some research when engines require complex algorithms and data structures to work efficiently
- Can write and understand SQL and are comfortable working with relational databases
- Are excited about building and scaling cloud PaaS applications - experience with distributed, multi-tenant systems is a plus, curiosity about them is a must
- Are no stranger to Docker and Kubernetes, or are eager to learn them
- Use AI coding tools such as Claude Code or Codex in your daily workflow, or are keen to make them part of it
- Are curious about LLMs, agents and MCP and how to integrate them into a product safely and reliably (hands-on experience is a plus, not a must)
- Enjoy being in contact with customers’ problems and want to grow into owning a feature end-to-end, including how it runs in production
- Write clean, well-designed, documented and testable code, and care about industry standards and best practices
- Want to grow - you are curious, ask questions, like feedback, and enjoy learning and sharing knowledge in acollaborative engineering culture
Nice to have
- Interest or experience in any of the following areas: Problem Solving, Complex Algorithms, Software Architecture, Databases, Cloud Operations, Application Security / Identity Management, UX for data-heavy applications, or building LLM-powered features
Why join us?
- You’ll help shape a complex, valuable product at the core of the Ataccama ONE agentic data trust platform - recognized as a Leader in the Gartner® Magic Quadrant™ for Augmented Data Quality Solutions for the fifth consecutive time
- You’ll grow fast - a complex product, experienced colleagues who like to mentor, and room to take on more as you prove yourself
- You’ll see the whole picture - from data engine to user interface - and your work will be visible to users every day
- You’ll work with sharp minds who care about code quality, design thinking and continuous learning
- We balance autonomy with collaboration, giving you space to innovate and grow
- Everyone in Ataccama is close to the customer - you can propose and drive changes to our product and see their impact
- Your work will make data trustworthy enough for AI agents to act on it - the foundation of the next wave of enterprise AI
