Our Complex Projects (CP) business delivers some of the UK's most challenging and high-profile projects, combining world-class project delivery, technical expertise, and management contracting capabilities.

To accelerate our digital transformation journey, we are seeking an experienced Digitalisation Strategy Lead to drive innovation, enable adoption of digital solutions, and shape how we deliver projects across our business. Reporting to the Chief Technical Director, this is a highly visible leadership role with the opportunity to influence strategy, improve business performance, and create lasting impact across the organisation.

As the Digitalisation Strategy Lead, you will lead the development and execution of our digital strategy, ensuring digital solutions deliver measurable business value and become embedded into everyday operations.

This role is ideal for a strategic thinker who combines digital expertise with strong stakeholder leadership and a passion for driving transformational change.

Your role

  • Lead and develop the CP Digital Team, fostering a high-performing and innovative culture.
  • Own and evolve the CP Digitalisation Strategy, aligning initiatives with business objectives and growth priorities.
  • Act as the senior authority for digital transformation initiatives, ensuring clear business value, investment justification, and successful delivery.
  • Drive identification, development, and implementation of digital solutions across all CP sectors.
  • Establish and monitor KPIs to measure digital adoption, performance, and business impact.
  • Champion data governance, digital security, configuration management, and audit compliance.
  • Promote consistent digital ways of working, collaborative platforms, and digital engineering best practices.
  • Support major bids, technical reviews, and strategic business initiatives through digital innovation.
  • Track emerging technologies and identify opportunities to enhance operational performance and client outcomes.
  • Partner with UK & Ireland digital leadership to align transformation priorities and share best practices.
  • Build strong stakeholder engagement across technical, operational, and leadership communities.

About you

  • Degree qualified in Engineering, Information Management, Digital Technologies, or a related STEM discipline.
  • Significant experience leading digital transformation, innovation, or digital delivery programmes within complex infrastructure or project-based environments.
  • Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive change across diverse teams.
  • Strong commercial awareness, with an understanding of how digital investments create business value.
  • Demonstrated success delivering measurable improvements through technology, process optimisation, or digital innovation.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Resilient, adaptable, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
