  • Follow all health, safety, environmental, radiation safety, and quality management requirements, including safe material handling and use of required personal protective equipment.

About you

  • Typically, three or more years of relevant laboratory, construction materials, geotechnical, or geomechanical testing experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and hands-on technical experience.
  • Familiarity with applicable laboratory testing standards and procedures, including ASTM, CSA, AASHTO, provincial Ministry of Highways methods, and internal quality management system requirements.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word, with the ability and willingness to learn laboratory data acquisition software, scheduling tools, and internal reporting systems.
  • Ability to follow written procedures, recognize unusual results or conditions, ask appropriate technical questions, escalate concerns before data quality is affected, and maintain accurate records in a fast-paced laboratory.
