This position is primarily an on-site role and is expected to work standard business hours, Monday through Friday. Occasional flexibility may be required to support research-related meetings, educational events, monitor visits, or other departmental activities.

Pay Range:

$21.85 - $32.80
  • Utilizes effective communication skills to support research participants, staff, investigators, clinical departments, external partners, and visitors. Maintains positive working relationships across departments and provides a high level of customer service.
  • · Serves as an organized, reliable in-person resource for the Research Department, helping coordinate day-to-day administrative needs, maintain departmental continuity, and support communication and workflow across research activities.
  • · Coordinates research-related administrative and operational activities, including scheduling and credentialing external study monitors and visitors, coordinating meetings and room reservations, supporting study-related workflows, and assisting with departmental events and education.
  • · Maintains and organizes research records, databases, logs, training records, credentialing documentation, and other departmental files. Supports data entry, document management, report preparation, correspondence, and use of multiple computer systems and programs.
  • · Supports regulatory and compliance processes by assisting with documentation, maintaining required records, preparing materials for review, and helping ensure readiness for audits, surveys, and other compliance-related activities.
  • · May assist with study-related specimen workflows, including processing, handling, documentation, packaging, and shipping of specimens in accordance with study protocols, institutional requirements, and applicable safety and compliance standards.
  • · Manages department communications, including the shared phone line, email inbox, mail distribution, and routine communication with study participants, internal departments, external study teams, vendors, and other stakeholders.
  • · Assists in the planning, coordination, and implementation of continuing education, community outreach, training, and other research-related programs.
  • · Maintains professional growth and development. Remains current on required research-specific certifications, including Protection of Human Research Participants and HIPAA compliance. Attends available educational opportunities, takes initiative, manages multiple priorities, works independently when appropriate, and demonstrates flexibility, collaboration, and a cooperative attitude.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

  • Must be able to use visual acuity to see monitor screen, computer and hard copy materials. Must be able to hear and verbally communicate in person and over the phone or radio. Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time (up to 2 hours). Must be able to comprehend and learn operation of various office equipment. Must have functional range of motion of the cervical, thoracic and lumbar spines, upper and lower extremities with a grip strength of 50-60# specific to job evaluation. Must be able to forward reach, overhead reach, bend, squat, kneel and apply proper body mechanics during the transfers and transport supplies and/or equipment using proper body mechanics. Must be able to lift up to 10# specific to job evaluation.
  • Works in hospital, clinical and/or assistive living, office indoor environments. Must be able to remain calm under emergency situations. Must be able to utilize appropriate universal and specific precautions for protection from potential exposure infectious or communicable diseases. Tolerate high noise, busy atmospheres and noxious odors
