About the role:
Aurizon’s Coppabella depot is seeking expressions of interest from safety focused individuals who would like undertake training to become a locomotive driver. To excel in this position you will relish to opportunity to learn new skills and put into practice what you are taught in the classroom to become a professional train operator.
- 24x7 rotating shift roster 365 days a year including nights, weekends and public holidays.
- Apply theoretical knowledge from training to practical operation.
- Work in accordance with Aurizon's safety and operational standards and procedures
- Undertake Locomotive driver training and successfully complete modules.
About you:
You are reliable and punctual with a strong commitment to safety and a willingness to train to become a professional train driver with Aurizon.
- All-encompassing focus on safety along with great interpersonal skills
- Superior teamwork skills
- Current unrestricted Class C drivers licence
- Be available to commence March 2027 and not have any prior commitments for the first 9 months of the training program.
- Be available to be away from home for training for extended periods.
