IT Operations Manager

As we continue to grow globally, we are looking for an experienced, hands-on IT Manager to own and scale our internal IT operations, infrastructure, and employee technology experience.

About the Role

This is a highly impactful role responsible for the day-to-day operation, reliability, and scalability of Autofleet’s IT environment across offices and remote employees globally.

We are looking for someone who combines strong technical expertise with operational ownership and excellent service orientation. The ideal candidate has experience managing IT infrastructure, networking, endpoint management, SaaS administration, and vendor coordination in a fast-paced environment.

This role will serve as the primary owner of internal IT operations and partner closely with Security, HR, Facilities, external vendors, and our counterparts at Element, our parent company, to ensure alignment across shared systems, infrastructure, and IT initiatives.

Responsibilities

IT Operations & Support

• Own internal IT operations and employee technical support globally
• Manage onboarding/offboarding processes, endpoint provisioning, and access management
• Troubleshoot and resolve escalated hardware, software, connectivity, and infrastructure issues
• Establish and improve IT processes, documentation, and support workflows

Network & Infrastructure Management

• Manage office network infrastructure, wireless environments, VPN connectivity, and related vendors
• Troubleshoot network performance, connectivity, and reliability issues across office and remote environments
• Partner with external providers on network architecture, escalations, and ongoing optimization
• Support SaaS platforms, identity/access systems, and cloud-managed infrastructure

Endpoint Management

• Administer MDM and endpoint management platforms (e.g. Kandji)
• Partner closely with Security team on endpoint compliance, VPN/SASE solutions, device security, and access controls
• Help implement and maintain IT security best practices and operational policies

Cross-Functional & Vendor Collaboration

• Manage relationships with external IT vendors and service providers
• Work closely with IT and Security stakeholders at Element to coordinate shared infrastructure, policies, escalations, and support processes
• Lead IT improvement initiatives and infrastructure projects
• Drive operational maturity, scalability, and reliability across the IT environment

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in IT operations, systems administration, or internal IT infrastructure roles
• Strong experience supporting macOS environments
• Hands-on experience with:
• Networking and wireless infrastructure
• VPN/SASE technologies
• MDM platforms (Kandji, Jamf, etc.)
• SaaS administration and identity management
• Endpoint security and IT operations best practices
• Experience managing external IT vendors and escalations
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across systems, networking, and end-user environments
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to operate independently and take full ownership in a fast-paced environment

Nice to Have

• Experience in high-growth startup environments
• Familiarity with Fortinet, Google Workspace, or Harmony SASE
• Experience supporting hybrid/global teams
