The successful candidate will partner closely with hiring leaders, understand complex technical talent needs, sell the opportunity with confidence, and deliver a high-quality candidate and stakeholder experience across specialized functions including Process Development, Analytical Development, Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Operations, and Engineering.

Your Role:

The Senior Talent Acquisition Partner will play a key role in supporting Avid Bioservices’ continued growth by developing and executing targeted recruiting strategies for highly specialized roles. This individual will serve as a trusted advisor to hiring managers and business leaders, providing market insights, talent intelligence, and recruiting guidance throughout the full hiring life cycle.

This role requires strong business partnership, proactive sourcing capability, disciplined process management, a strong sense of urgency, and the ability to guide candidates from initial interest through successful close while maintaining a best-in-class experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Talent Acquisition

  • Develop and execute effective recruiting strategies with an agency-style sense of urgency to attract highly qualified talent across life sciences, biopharmaceutical, and biologics functions.
  • Source, screen, and interview candidates to assess qualifications, career goals, motivations, and alignment with role requirements.
  • Create compelling candidate presentations and positioning summaries that clearly align with the business need and help drive timely hiring decisions.

Stakeholder Partnership

  • Partner with hiring managers and department leaders to understand team needs, leadership style, department dynamics, and critical business priorities.
  • Provide guidance on talent market trends, competitive intelligence, and candidate positioning to support informed hiring decisions.

Candidate Experience

  • Deliver a professional, thoughtful, and high-quality candidate experience that aligns candidate motivations with the role, team, and broader business opportunity.
  • Maintain consistent communication with candidates, provide timely and transparent updates, and help keep momentum through each stage of the recruiting process.

Recruitment Process Management

  • Manage full life cycle recruiting activity in the applicant tracking system and other recruiting tools.
  • Ensure recruiting activity is well documented, organized, and aligned with internal process expectations.

Compliance and Reporting

  • Ensure all recruiting activities comply with company policies and applicable employment laws.
  • Maintain accurate recruiting records and provide regular reporting on recruiting activity, pipeline status, and hiring progress.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 8 years of full life cycle recruiting experience within the life sciences industry. Agency recruitment experience is highly preferred.
  • Must have recruiting experience in at least three of the following areas: Process Development, Analytical Development, Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Operations, or Engineering.
  • Must have experience recruiting within life sciences, biopharmaceuticals, biologics, or a similar technical scientific environment.
  • Proven track record of building strong stakeholder relationships, selling specialized opportunities, and closing top talent in competitive recruiting environments.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple recruiting priorities simultaneously.
  • A bachelor’s degree is preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • High school diploma/GED required.
  • Able to commute to the Tustin office five days per week.
  • Proficiency with applicant tracking systems and other recruiting technologies.
