Global Team Leader - Affiliate marketing

Purpose of position 

Responsible for SLA delivery, the strategic and commercial growth of a client portfolio consisting mainly of Premium SLA clients whilst leading and developing a team of AMs. 

Operating in a fast-paced environment, the role combines hands-on client ownership of major brands with people leadership, ensuring both client outcomes and team capability are advanced in parallel.

Key Tasks

• Own the strategic direction and day-to-day relationship for a portfolio of top-tier client accounts, with a focus on GP growth.
• Develop and execute program strategies that drive client growth, retention, and performance.
• Lead affiliate recruitment, performance monitoring, and optimisation activities across managed accounts.
• Act as the escalation point for complex client issues, providing sound judgement and recommended solutions.
• Maintain clear, proactive communication with all internal and external stakeholders.
• Manage, coach, and develop a team of Account Managers, including onboarding, regular feedback, performance reviews, and ongoing support.
• Allocate client portfolios across the team, taking into account each team member's qualifications and experience
• Supervise team-managed client campaigns and monitor delivery against agreed KPIs and quality standards.
• Foster a high-performing, collaborative team culture aligned with company values.
• Stay current with industry trends, market developments, and competitor activity, and share insight across the team and wider business.
• Represent the company at industry events, client meetings, and networking opportunities.
• Contribute to the creation of educational and training materials for clients and internal teams.
• Participate in and lead departmental or cross-functional projects and initiatives.

Skills & Expertise 

• Ideal candidate should have a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience affiliate marketing experience, data analysis capabilities.
• Proven experience in account management within affiliate marketing, digital marketing, or a comparable client-facing environment.
• Demonstrated experience a portfolio of client accounts through a team, ensuring delivery against SLA's
• Prior people management experience is a plus, including coaching, performance management, and team development.
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to translate client objectives into actionable strategy.
•  Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Confident handling escalations, conflict resolution, and complex client situations.
• Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
