Job Description
AI Editorial is operating at an inflection point, acting as a strategic partner to product managers and technology teams to deliver critical projects across the business. This role embeds dedicated product management expertise into the function, working to identify, shape and drive opportunities for editorial subject matter expertise to power customer-facing AI innovation. The role also holds strategic oversight of cross-functional reporting and establishes ROI metrics for how editorial expertise is deployed and valued across the business. This is a product leadership role. Experience in content and publishing is strongly preferred, tax or legal experience a plus.
Key Responsibilities
- Acts as strategic product partner to product managers and technology teams across the business, identifying, shaping and driving opportunities for editorial subject matter expertise to power customer-facing AI innovation
- Establishes and owns cross-functional reporting frameworks and ROI / utilisation metrics that demonstrate the value and impact of editorial subject matter expertise within AI product development
- Translates data, customer feedback and audience insight into clear product decisions, trade-offs and prioritisation calls
- Builds scalable processes and ways of working for editorial-to-product handoff, embedding product discipline (roadmaps, backlogs, sprint rhythms) into editorial's contribution to AI development
- Coaches and upskills editorial subject matter experts in product thinking and ways of working, without formal management responsibility for the wider team
- Delivers regular, clear reporting and progress updates to senior leadership, flagging risks early with practical mitigation options, bringing external product and platform best practice into a professional services / legal-tech environment
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in computer science, business, accounting, finance, law, or related field
- 8+ years' product management experience, ideally including digital media, news publishing, content platforms, or other complex multi-stakeholder digital ecosystems
- Experience managing strategic platform or technology partnerships and complex external relationships
- Strong grounding in fundamental AI/ML product concepts, with the ability to get up to speed quickly on domain-specific applications
- Fluent in product analytics and using data to define and track success metrics, including ROI and utilisation measures
- Working knowledge of agile/product delivery frameworks and tooling (roadmapping, backlog management, sprint planning)
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated success leading cross-functional teams (engineering, editorial/content, commercial) to deliver results in fast-moving, matrixed environments
- Experience building products or capabilities from the ground up, including in ambiguous or 0-to-1 contexts
