IT Procurement Manager

As an IT Procurement Manager, you'll play a critical role in driving procurement strategy and operations for Technology spend. You'll coordinate with cross-functional teams to optimize sourcing, manage complex negotiations, and ensure compliance with organizational policies. Working closely with Category Leads, Finance, Legal, and business stakeholders, you'll deliver value through strategic planning, process excellence, and successful contract execution.

Key Responsibilities

In this opportunity as an IT Procurement Manager, you will:

• Coordinate and collaborate with various teams, both within and outside of sourcing, to meet financial and operational requirements
• Develop departmental plans including business, production, and organizational priorities, leveraging in-depth business and managerial knowledge specific to Procurement Operations
• Ensure high standards of data quality and accuracy in sourcing tools, databases, and platforms, with a focus on data quality assurance and comprehensive reporting to support informed decision-making
• Drive integrated procurement system and operations strategy to help category deliver against business challenges
• Lead day-to-day procurement operations and support, including compliance management, system integration with core infrastructure, and spend/supplier management performance
• Analyze historic spending, existing contracts, and business budgets to identify clear opportunities for addressable spending
• Lead collaborative discussions with Category Leads to understand business requirements and category strategies, defining a pipeline of potential opportunities
• Draft and prioritize implementation plans for assigned initiatives, developing detailed strategies aligned with category agendas and business priorities
• Execute approved initiative pipelines with the goal of reducing costs through Digital tools adoption (eRFx/e-Auctions), managing risk through contract review, and supporting business through timely execution
• Manage the resolution of complex or unusual problems, identifying root causes and implementing sustainable solutions
• Develop relationships with key customers and work closely with Global Category Leads, business, Finance, Legal, and Information Security teams to drive contract drafting and negotiation

Required Qualifications

You're a fit for the role if your background includes:

• Bachelor's Degree
• Credible knowledge and expertise across a wide range of Technology Procurement areas of spend, with significant experience in successfully developing and negotiating agreements within any value between $50K - $1M across geographies
• 5+ years of applicable experience across the Procurement value chain, operations, program management, and sound understanding of applicable laws and regulations
• Strong ability to clearly understand business needs, historic spend, construction of existing contracts, applicable buying practices, and external market drivers to build an insightful profile for assigned spend
• Expert ability to understand the different cost drivers in the end-to-end value stream within various Technology sub-categories, develop a TCO/TVO model, and build applicable strategies to drive sustainable value
• Excellent external and internal relationship management and cross-functional leadership skills
• Experienced sourcing practitioner with deal architecture and negotiation skills, understanding of best-practice sourcing methodology, and a demonstrated track record of working ethically to achieve excellent outcomes
• Strong experience in contracting processes from drafting to execution, negotiating contracts through applying best-in-class practices
• Knowledge of the sourcing marketplace and trends in the industry, including the ability to assess the impact of changes in the context of sourcing strategy
• Expert analytics and ability to develop coherent and high-quality sourcing collateral including business cases, contract summaries, and RFx materials
• Experience with Source to Pay tools such as Ariba/Fieldglass
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Experience building strong relationships with senior business executives

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced degree or certification in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or related field (APICS CSCP, ASCM certification, or equivalent)
• Demonstrated experience leading procurement transformation or digital enablement initiatives
• Experience with enterprise risk management and supplier risk assessment frameworks
• Track record of managing multi-million dollar procurement portfolios
• Familiarity with industry best practices such as CIPS or other procurement excellence standards
