Senior Kotlin Developer

We are looking for a Senior Kotlin Developer to join our friendly and dynamic team.

What are you bringing?

• 5+ years of experience as a professional software engineer in a product or integration environment.
• Strong skills in Kotlin and PHP, or solid experience in one and a willingness to develop in the other. You have no religious beliefs about languages.
• Experience with API design (REST and/or gRPC), event-driven architecture, and relational databases.
• A domain-driven approach: you model from the business, not from the framework.
• You understand legacy systems: you know when a refactor is worthwhile and when it is better to build a layer around existing code.
• A senior attitude: you make decisions, share knowledge, and are not a prima donna about your code.
• Fluent in spoken and written English.

What exactly are you going to do?

• Building Eneqto services: developing new Kotlin modules for integrations, event flows, APIs, and domain logic. The stack runs on the JVM and Linux, with PostgreSQL and RabbitMQ as the main technologies underneath.
• Maintaining and further developing PHP platforms: Planigo, Invoice Complete, and client-specific applications continuously receive new features. You contribute to refactoring projects without impacting production.
• Realizing customer integrations: connecting ERP systems (AFAS, Exact, Dynamics, SAP), EDI flows, and custom APIs. You build and monitor them and ensure they remain reliable.
• Making architectural choices: advising on event-driven patterns, data models, and interfaces. You have demonstrable experience with domain-driven design.
• Code reviews and pair coding: helping mid-level colleagues grow and exchanging ideas with other senior engineers. You share what you know and are open to learning what you don't know yet.
• Working directly with clients: during implementations, you collaborate with technical colleagues or architects from the client side. You translate their questions directly into working solutions.
