Senior Product Engineer

Job Description:

• Take business problems from stakeholders, determine what matters, and define clear requirements and outcomes
• Own delivery of an agreed business problem in partnership with the CTO and business owner
• Decide what to build, reuse, change, cut, or delay, escalating material cost or risk decisions
• Build and operate full-stack systems across database, backend, and UI
• Develop customer-facing features, internal tools, and automation
• Test and roll out safely with monitoring and risk-appropriate recovery paths
• Protect access and customer data
• Drive adoption, document systems, and agree ongoing ownership
• Define success metrics and baselines, measure results, and report impact honestly
• Use AI tools daily, validate their output, and manage LLM failure modes when applicable
• Collaborate directly with non-technical business areas and engineering peers
• Report directly to the CTO

Requirements:

• At least five years building software products, including both defining what to build and building it
• Ability to turn a vague business request into something buildable without waiting for a finished PRD
• Scope judgment and ability to explain what was cut, delayed, or rejected
• Production full-stack capability, including relevant tests and failure handling
• Modern TypeScript and a React framework in production; Next.js preferred
• Relational database modeling and querying beyond basic CRUD
• Stakeholder collaboration and commercial judgment
• Working AI-assisted development practice, including validating and fixing AI output
• English at B2/C1 minimum, with ability to lead stakeholder discussions and write clear technical notes
• At least four hours of overlap with the team's EU working day
• Desirable: DTC, retail, e-commerce, gaming, or subscription-commerce experience
• Desirable: checkout, fulfillment, or customer-support tooling experience
• Desirable: embedded delivery, solutions engineering, or founder experience
• Desirable: Composable/MACH architecture or Kubernetes, GCP, or AWS in production
• Desirable: open-source contributions or public technical writing
• Portuguese desirable
