We are looking for a Junior/Mid Progress OpenEdgeDeveloper to join our Progress OpenEdge Unit and contribute to the modernization and transformation of our clients' existing systems.
In this role, you will work on upgrading and adapting existing Progress OpenEdge applications to newer OpenEdgeversions and modern development practices while maintaining existing business logic and functionality. You will collaborate with experienced team members, gain hands-on experience with complex business-critical systems, and further develop your expertise in Progress OpenEdge development. Responsibilities
- At least 2 years of experience working with Progress OpenEdge.
- Proficiencyin Progress OpenEdgeABL (version 11.7 or higher).
- Experience with object-oriented programming and development principles.
- Understanding ofdeployment and release management processes.
- Good understanding of software development principles and practices.
- Fluency in Englishand Lithuanian languages (at least B2 level).
Requirements
- Modernize existing applications built with Progress OpenEdge.
- Convert and adapt existing Progress OpenEdge code to newer versions and modern development approaches.
- Analyze existing code and system functionality to ensure that business logic and existing functionality are preserved during modernization.
- Refactor and improve existing code while maintainingsystem stability and reliability.
- Ensure solutions meet high security, performance, and code quality standards.
- Work as part of a cross-functional Agile Scrum team.
- Contribute to technical discussions and identify opportunities to improve the existing codebase and modernization process.
