Purpose of the role

Focused on delivering individual projects, ensuring completion within scope, time, and budget with a more immediate focus.

Accountabilities

• Scope Management: Manages a single project with specific, defined objectives, deadlines, and deliverables. Their focus is on completing the project on time, within scope, and on budget.
• Strategic Focus: Operates more tactically, focusing on day-to-day management of resources, schedules, and deliverables for their individual project.
• Time Horizon: Works with a shorter, more defined timeframe as projects have a set beginning and end.
• Stakeholder Management: Primarily manages stakeholders related to their specific project, ensuring communication and expectations are clear for the project’s deliverables.
• Risk and Issue Management: Focuses on risks and issues specific to their project and works to mitigate them within the project’s scope.
• Resource Management: Manages resources for their individual project, ensuring that the project team has the necessary skills, tools, and time to complete the work.
• Financial Management: Focuses on managing the budget of their specific project, ensuring it is completed within the financial constraints.
• Metrics: Measures success based on the timely completion of project deliverables within scope, time, and budget.
• Change Management: Manages changes that directly impact their specific project, including scope changes, timelines, or resource allocation adjustments.

• To contribute or set strategy, drive requirements and make recommendations for change. Plan resources, budgets, and policies; manage and maintain policies/ processes; deliver continuous improvements and escalate breaches of policies/procedures..

• OR for an individual contributor, they will be a subject matter expert within own discipline and will guide technical direction. Join us as a Programme Manager and play a key role in delivering complex, large-scale data transformation across the organisation. You’ll lead high-profile programmes managing change across data, technology and the businesses groupwide, bringing together multiple teams and senior stakeholders to navigate complexity, drive delivery and achieve strategic, operational, and regulatory outcomes.

The Integrated Financial Crime (IFC) portfolio is a multi-faceted initiative of Financial Crime change spanning over 30 programmes to build a robust risk-based environment. It focuses on enhancing Financial Crime processes groupwide, strengthening skills across all lines of defence, empowering partners, colleagues and customers to combat Financial Crime by raising awareness of the risks.

To be successful as a Programme Manager, you should have the following essential skills:

• Large-Scale Data Transformation: Experience leading large-scale data transformation programmes, with ample knowledge of data architecture, quality, governance and lineage. Experience delivering data solutions that support strategic, operational, and regulatory outcomes.
• Programme Leadership: Experience leading multi-faceted, multi-stream transformation programmes, with ample governance, planning, risk and delivery management capabilities. Comfortable navigating changing priorities and ambiguity.
• Senior Stakeholder Management: Ample experience influencing senior stakeholders, driving strategies and operating across multi-faceted matrix organisations. Ability to align multiple teams, priorities and dependencies to maintain delivery momentum.

Some other highly valued skills may include:

• Technology Change Delivery: Experience delivering large-scale technology-enabled transformation, with a good understanding of enterprise technology and application or platform delivery. Able to bridge business and technology teams effectively.
• Regulatory Change Programme Experience: Experience delivering regulatory, risk, compliance or remediation programmes within financial services. Financial Crime experience is preferred l but not essential. Comfortable delivering against regulatory commitments and deadlines.
• Financial Services & Matrix Organisations: Experience working within large, multi-faceted financial institutions with multiple stakeholders and governance forums. Able to navigate enterprise-wide dependencies and competing priorities.
