Job Description

Purpose of the role

To design, develop and improve software, utilising various engineering methodologies, that provides business, platform, and technology capabilities for our customers and colleagues.

Accountabilities

• Development and delivery of high-quality software solutions by using industry aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools. Ensuring that code is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance.
• Cross-functional collaboration with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives.
• Collaboration with peers, participate in code reviews, and promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing.
• Stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations and actively contribute to the organization’s technology communities to foster a culture of technical excellence and growth.
• Adherence to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities, protect sensitive data, and ensure secure software solutions.
• Implementation of effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability.

To be successful as a Senior Software Engineer, you should have:

• Proven experience leading the design and delivery of large-scale distributed systems, defining target architectures and driving technical strategy across multiple stakeholder groups
• Excellent communication, presentation, and influencing skills with a considerable experience in managing senior stakeholders, driving cross-functional collaboration, and delivering complex projects to completion
• Extensive proficiency in Java, DevOps, event-driven/messaging architectures, databases, automation and scripting, with focus on building scalable, resilient and high-performance platforms

Some other highly valued skills may include:

• Understanding of AI/ML technologies, LLMs, agentic AI and multi-agent architectures, including their application in enterprise software solutions
• Experience with cloud-native technologies and observability frameworks, including Kubernetes, OpenShift, OpenTelemetry, Grafana, Elastic Stack (ELK), and related monitoring and reliability engineering practices
• Demonstrated ability to adapt priorities in a fast-paced environment, embrace changing business needs and drive continuous improvement through innovation and automation

This role will be based in our Prague office.

Entry Salary: Kč 1,884,000.00

Upper Salary: Kč 2,301,000.00

The entry and upper salary information above includes only annual full-time equivalent base salary and represents the typical range of pay for the role. The actual pay rate will reflect the responsibility level of the role and experience level of the individual. The entry and upper salary information does not include any other type of compensation or benefits that may be available.
