Turquoise Ridge -Supervisor Surface Operations (Dewatering)

Our people division is growing, and we are looking for a Dewatering Supervisor at our Surface operations. The successful candidate liaison and maintain good communications with other members of the Dewatering Department and Mine Superintendent to develop a unified team.

Responsibilities:

• Ensuring water is removed prior to entering the open pit and/or extracting water out of the pit to enable mining to be undertaken.
• Plan and execute a variety of maintenance and project work.
• Operate specific equipment in order to complete tasks.
• Understand dewatering machinery needs with the ability to fabricate parts as needed to ensure timely start-up/ repairs of equipment.

• Maintain many well field sites within the region and their associated equipment.

• Liaise and maintain good communications with other members of the Dewatering Department and Mine Superintendent to develop a unified team.

• Ensure compliance with applicable environmental permits.

• Responsible for a safe and clean work environment.

• Manage dewatering crews to complete tasks in a safe and efficient manner

• Maintain Pit Pumps

• Maintain Well Fields

• Maintain dewatering lines

• Water monitoring

• Perform other duties as assigned

  Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent required
• 1+ years' experience with well fields, pumps, etc. required
• Lift and carry up to 50 lbs. required
• Taste and smell a change in environment odorsrequired
• Ability to hear sufficiently to distinguish various pitches of warning alarmsrequired
• Must be able to withstand exposure to heat and cold required
• Acts in a manner that builds trust and demonstrates integrityrequired
• Initiative, self-management, self-reliance; a sense of responsibility and ownership towards the job required
• Proven safe work recordrequired
• Ability to follow both verbal and written instructions required
• Ability to interact and communicate effectively with a wide variety of people required
• Demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions of the job required
