Barstool Sports is seeking a Senior Production Operations Manager to join our Production Operations team. Based out of Barstool’s Chicago office and reporting to the Director of Production, this role will oversee the operational planning and execution of larger-scale and high-priority productions in and outside the Chicago office.

The Senior Manager will serve as a key operational partner to Production leadership, managing production schedules, vendors, facilities, logistics, and cross-functional communication from pre-production through completion. This role will oversee complex projects, identify and resolve operational challenges, and develop processes that improve the efficiency and scalability of Barstool’s production operations.

This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced, nontraditional production environment that requires strong judgment, organization, communication, and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the day-to-day operational planning and execution of larger-scale and high-priority productions based out of the Chicago office.
  • Project manage productions from initial planning and pre-production through execution, wrap, and post-mortem.
  • Coordinate production logistics including equipment, facilities, transportation, supplies, travel, set builds, vendors, and freelancers.
  • Ensure productions follow established company policies, safety requirements, and applicable EHS regulations, including coordination of COIs and permits when necessary.
  • Clearly communicate priorities, deadlines, responsibilities, and potential issues to relevant stakeholders.
  • Maintain production budgets for assigned short- and long-term projects.
  • Book and coordinate ENG crews and other production resources as needed, working with Legal on contracts and terms.
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve SOPs, workflows, and processes that increase the efficiency and scalability of Chicago production operations.
  • Identify opportunities to improve production planning, communication, resource allocation, and cost management.
  • Provide hands-on operational support during productions when needed.
  • Travel periodically to support select remote productions or larger projects as needed.

What You Have

  • 7+ years of experience in production operations, production management, video production, media, entertainment, or a related field.
  • Significant experience managing complex productions, projects, or operational workflows.
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across departments and levels of the organization.
  • Highly proactive, resourceful, and solutions-oriented with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to think creatively and operate effectively in a fast-paced, nontraditional production environment.
  • Ability to remain composed and make decisions in high-pressure situations.
  • Strong understanding of production safety, EHS regulations, and best practices.
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace and production/project management tools.
  • Experience managing or mentoring junior production or operations staff.
  • Willingness to work nights, weekends, and outside of normal business hours when production needs require.
  • Willingness to travel periodically for select productions and projects.

Salary Range: $90,000 - $130,000k
