Today we're trusted by over 20% of financial institutions in America including FIS, Rho, Socure and top five US banks. But the graph is becoming infrastructure for anyone who needs to know if a business is real and worth trusting: gig platforms, marketplaces, AI companies, and commerce infrastructure at scale.

ABOUT THE TEAM
AI agents are starting to transact: opening accounts, buying services, moving money on behalf of the businesses and people behind them. Every one of those transactions has a counterparty asking the question banks have always asked: who am I dealing with, and can I trust them? Today's identity infrastructure wasn't built to answer it at agent speed.
The Agentic Economy team is extending Baselayer's business graph into the trust layer for agentic commerce: verifiable credentials that bind an agent to the verified business and human behind it, a registry counterparties can query in real time, and verification APIs that plug into the networks, platforms, and protocols where agent transactions happen.
We run like a startup inside a startup: a small senior team led by our GM of Agentic Economy, working directly with payment networks, banks, wallet providers, and agent platforms. The category is being defined right now; the standards, seats, and infrastructure decisions of the next 18 months will be consequential for a decade.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We're looking for a technical bridge-builder who thrives at the intersection of engineering and customer success. You have a passion for translating complex technical concepts to diverse audiences and enjoy diving into code to solve real-world problems. You're energized by helping customers implement solutions that drive measurable business value.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Technical Consultation: Help understand customer requirements and design appropriate implementation strategies for Baselayer's identity verification solutions
- Implementation Support: Guide customers through API integrations and ensure successful deployment of Baselayer products
- Solution Design: Create technical documentation and implementation plans that address specific customer needs
- Product Demonstrations: Deliver technical demonstrations that showcase Baselayer's capabilities
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with sales, product, and engineering teams
- Technical Documentation: Develop implementation guides and solution architectures for various customer scenarios
- Customer Training: Educate customers on Baselayer's products and APIs
- Feedback Loop: Collect and communicate customer feedback to product and engineering teams
- Continuous Learning: Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in the identity verification space
- Post-implementation Support: Provide ongoing technical guidance to ensure customer success
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- You have 2+ years of experience in a technical role, product management, or customer-facing position
- You possess fundamental knowledge of API concepts and web technologies
- You're detail-oriented and able to document requirements effectively
- You're a natural problem-solver who enjoys finding solutions to complex challenges
- You're adaptable and can navigate ambiguity with confidence
- You're highly collaborative and enjoy working with cross-functional teams
WHAT SETS YOU APART
- Experience in solutions engineering, implementation, or technical customer success
- Basic coding skills in Python or JavaScript
- Familiarity with identity verification, KYC/KYB processes, or financial compliance
- Experience with fintech or financial institutions
- Experience leading technical discovery calls, product demos, or implementation workshops
WORK LOCATION
- Based in New York City; Full-time in office
COMPENSATION
- Salary Range: $135,000 - $220,000 + Equity
