NOC Technician

In order to be considered the following is required:

• Experience working in a team
• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent time management skills
• 2 years’ experience working with L2 and L3 networks
• Own vehicle

Responsibilities:

Customer support:

• Provide prompt and efficient technical support to commercial clients via phone, email or ticket system
• Address inquires and concerns related to internet connectivity, network configurations, IP routes and other technical issues
• Troubleshoot and diagnose connectivity issues, resolving faults to minimize downtime for commercial customers
• Assist with domain registration and management including DNS and NS record updates
• Create and troubleshoot VOIP lines for commercial customers including IVRs, timed routes and classes of service
• Create, configure and troubleshoot commercial customer VLANs, IPs and links

Network Troubleshooting:

• Investigate, log and resolve network related faults, ensuring stable and reliable internet connectivity for commercial customers
• Collaborate with the network operations team to identify and resolve network outages or performance issues affecting customers on the network

Technical Assistance:

• Guide commercial customers through the connection and configuration of network equipment, ensuring proper installation and functionality
• Provide technical assistance for various devices such as routers, switches and firewalls helping customers understand and optimize their networks

Issue resolution:

• Document and track technical issues reported by commercial customers ensuring accurate records of incidents and resolutions
• Escalate complex issues to the appropriate teams and follow up to ensure timely resolution and customer satisfaction

Product knowledge:

• Stay up to date on the latest products, services, network topology and technologies used by the business
• Continuously enhance knowledge of networking protocols, hardware and software to provide effective support to commercial clients

Customer education:

• Educate commercial clients on best practices for network security, data protection and efficient use of internet services
• Provide training and resources to help clients optimize their internet usage and enhance their online experience
