The IT Technician's responsibilities include:
- Service Desk Management: Managing service desk activities and providing assistance for IT issues reported by users, both on-site and remotely, interfacing with vendors for resolution when necessary.
- Service Maintenance: Keeping services operational and, where necessary, restoring them or arranging for restoration by relevant companies in compliance with SLAs, acting as an interface between involved parties.
- User Management: Maintaining an updated and consistent list of users accessing information systems, performing monthly cross-checks of active employees against active user lists, and enabling or disabling accounts accordingly.
- Security & Compliance: Conducting monthly checks defined by management to ensure security levels and compliance with company policies.
- Asset Management: Installation and configuration of IT assets, collaborating with the ICT team to manage standard changes and higher-level requests.
- Technical Support: Offering technical assistance to clients or groups as needed.
Requirements
- Education: A degree in Computer Science or a high school diploma with experience in the IT field.
- Technical Knowledge: Understanding of architectural and infrastructural concepts of the Microsoft Windows environment, Active Directory, and related services.
- Networking: Good knowledge of TCP/IP networking fundamentals.
- Language Skills: Good written and spoken English, with the ability to relate to and collaborate with colleagues from international offices.
- Soft Skills:
- Organizational skills and the ability to work independently while respecting deadlines set by the manager.
- Strong troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent relationship-building skills with technical referents and end-users.
- Strong problem-solving attitude.
- Good time and priority management.
- Spirit of innovation and creativity.
