Te Kowhiringa | The Opportunity

We’re looking for an experienced Electrical Supervisor to lead teams across commercial and industrial projects.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll coordinate crews, manage performance, and ensure high-quality, safe delivery across all works while supporting technical activities on-site.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise electrical teams, ensuring high standards of workmanship and productivity
  • Oversee daily site activities and monitor subcontractor performance
  • Drive installation, maintenance, and repair across industrial and commercial electrical systems
  • Support fault-finding and troubleshooting on complex systems
  • Assist Project and Contract Managers with documentation including contracts, claims, and insurance
  • Support preparation and management of monthly progress claims
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, proactively resolving issues
  • Plan and allocate resources to meet project timelines and delivery targets
  • Mentor, train, and develop team members, fostering a positive team culture
  • Promote and drive a strong safety culture aligned with Zero Harm, environmental, and quality standards
  • Ensure all work meets NZ safety, compliance, and quality requirements

Ngā Pūkenga Motuhake | Important Skills

We’re looking for a confident leader with strong technical capability in commercial and/or industrial environments:

  • Current EWRB Practising Licence - Electrician (E) or Electrical Engineer (EE)
  • Experience in a supervisory or leading hand role (or ready to step up)
  • Strong background in industrial, mechanical, or commercial electrical work ( Experience with PLC and BMS systems wiring highly desirable )
  • Proven leadership ability to direct, monitor, and develop teams
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
  • Health & Safety knowledge, including working at heights (advantageous)
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to plan, prioritise, and manage workloads effectively
  • Current NZ Driver’s Licence
  • Willingness for occasional travel
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement
  • Confidence using computer systems for reporting and job tracking
