  • Partner with Finance and Technology leaders to create budgets, forecasts, variance reporting, and financial performance reviews.
  • Define and manage showback, chargeback, cost allocation, and cost transparency models for major technology services and business consumers.
  • Establish standards for cost center mapping, service taxonomy, tagging, metadata, account/subscription structure, and allocation methodology.
  • Build executive-level reporting for technology spend, consumption trends, savings opportunities, forecast risks, and investment tradeoffs.
  • Drive accountability for technology consumption across platform, application, data, AI, business, and regional teams.

Infrastructure Consumption Strategy & Cost Optimization

  • Develop consumption strategies that balance cost, performance, reliability, security, compliance, and speed of delivery.
  • Identify and lead optimization opportunities across cloud, data centers, network circuits, compute, storage, databases, observability, backup, AI/HPC, and managed services.
  • Partner with engineering teams to implement automated rightsizing, scheduling, cleanup, lifecycle management, capacity planning, and demand management.
  • Manage cloud and infrastructure commercial levers, including savings plans, reserved instances, committed use discounts, enterprise agreements, software licensing, vendor commitments, and service-provider optimization.
  • Support vendor negotiations by providing consumption analytics, forecast modeling, benchmark analysis, scenario planning, and commitment recommendations.
  • Establish workload-level and service-level unit economics to help technology and business leaders understand cost-to-serve.
  • Develop policies and guardrails to reduce waste, prevent cost leakage, and improve financial discipline across infrastructure platforms.

Cloud FinOps

  • Lead the FinOps capability across public cloud platforms, including AWS, Azure, GCP, and related cloud-native services.
  • Establish cloud cost visibility, tagging compliance, budget controls, anomaly detection, cost optimization backlog management, and savings realization tracking.
  • Partner with Cloud Platform Engineering to embed cost controls into landing zones, infrastructure-as-code modules, deployment pipelines, and platform guardrails.
  • Support cost-aware architecture patterns for cloud-native applications, data platforms, AI/ML workloads, databases, network egress, storage tiers, and observability services.
  • Provide guidance on cloud account/subscription structure, cost allocation, shared services, commitment coverage, and workload economics.
  • Develop dashboards and reporting that make cloud cost, utilization, waste, and optimization opportunities visible to engineering and leadership teams.

Datacenter, Network, & Foundational Infrastructure Economics

  • Establish cost management practices for data center hosting, colocation, compute, storage, backup, disaster recovery, monitoring, and infrastructure tooling.
  • Partner with Network Engineering to manage telecom, WAN, SD-WAN, internet, private connectivity, cloud connectivity, and network service costs.
  • Support data center and hosting strategy decisions through financial modeling, total cost of ownership analysis, lifecycle planning, and consumption forecasting.
  • Partner with infrastructure operations to evaluate managed service provider costs, service levels, demand patterns, and operational efficiency.
  • Develop standard service-cost models for foundational infrastructure capabilities.
  • Identify opportunities to rationalize platforms, reduce duplicate tooling, retire unused services, and improve vendor value realization.

Planning, Analytics, & Executive Reporting

  • Build financial models, consumption forecasts, cost baselines, and scenario plans to support annual operating planning and strategic investment decisions.
  • Provide monthly and quarterly executive reporting on technology consumption, optimization progress, savings realization, forecast accuracy, and investment risks.
  • Track realized savings, avoided costs, cost optimization backlog, unit-cost trends, vendor commitment utilization, and consumption risks.
  • Develop KPIs and scorecards for financial performance, forecast accuracy, allocation quality, tagging compliance, utilization, optimization, and value realization.
  • Translate complex technical consumption patterns into clear financial and operational insights for senior leadership.
  • Support business cases for cloud migration, data center modernization, platform automation, network transformation, resilience investment, and AI/data platform expansion.

Governance, Process, & Continuous Improvement

  • Define processes, roles, decision rights, governance forums, and escalation paths for Technology Business Management and FinOps.
  • Establish recurring cost and consumption review cadences with infrastructure, cloud, network, application, data, AI, finance, procurement, and business stakeholders.
  • Develop standards, playbooks, and procedures for cost reviews, budget alerts, anomaly detection, optimization intake, savings validation, commitment management, and cost allocation.
  • Promote a culture of cost awareness, financial accountability, and continuous improvement across engineering and technology teams.
  • Evaluate and implement TBM, FinOps, cost management, reporting, and automation tools as needed.
  • Monitor industry practices, cloud provider capabilities, infrastructure economics trends, and emerging technology financial management practices to continuously mature BeOne’s capabilities.
