Industrial Mechanic (Millwright)

JOB SUMMARY:
Assist with the fabrication, installation, modification and adjustment of production equipment;
Perform preventative and corrective maintenance in accordance with the maintenance program;
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and related equipment issues;
Inspect equipment, identify potential risks, and communicate maintenance concerns and repair requirements to the supervisor;
Adjust, replace, lubricate, clean, and maintain production equipment and components as required;
Perform minor welding, electrical, and carpentry repairs to support plant operations;
Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, manuals, and schematics;
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability, safety, and production efficiency;
Maintain a clean and safe work area and comply with all company safety policies and procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Journeyperson Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) certification, Red Seal or Advanced Apprentice status preferred;
Industrial maintenance and mechanical troubleshooting experience;
Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems;
Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics;
Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills;
Self-motivated and able to work independently;
Physically capable of performing the requirements of the position;
Willingness to travel within Manitoba, as required.

WORKING CONDITIONS :
Permanent position;
40 hours per week;
Rotating schedule;
Voluntary overtime opportunities available during the week or on weekends, based on employee availability.
