Data Scientist

Big Impact Tech (BIT) is seeking an experienced Data Scientist to support enterprise data and analytics initiatives for a federal client. The role provides technical leadership, develops and deploys predictive and prescriptive models, supports data governance, automates business processes, and communicates analytical findings through dashboards, visualizations, and technical reports.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership in analytics and AI/ML solutions
• Develop and deploy machine learning models and predictive analytics
• Use Python, Anaconda, and Jupyter notebooks for modeling and prototyping
• Collaborate with Data Engineers to integrate model switch data pipelines
• Support data governance activities (tagging, metadata management and secure sharing)
• Develop RPA solutions to automate business processes
• Evaluate and recommend analytics products to ensure mission alignment
• Communicate findings through dashboards, visualizations, and technical reports

Skills

• Active Secret Clearance (required)
• Bachelors in data science, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field
• 4+ years of professional experience in Data Science and AI/ML
• Proficiency in AI/ML frameworks ( TensorFlow, PyTorch,Scikit-learn )
• Experience with RPA tools ( UiPath, Automation Anywhere, or Python-based )
• Familiarity with Databricks, Apache Spark, and SQL
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
