We are looking for an experienced Android Application Developer to join our engineering team and contribute to building, improving, and maintaining high-quality Android applications. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in Android application development, a good understanding of mobile application architecture, and the ability to work closely with product, design, backend, and other engineering teams.

Responsibilities:

Design, develop, test, and maintain Android applications.
Build new features and improve existing application functionality based on product requirements.
Write clean, maintainable, and reusable code.
Work with product and design teams to translate requirements and designs into functional mobile experiences.
Integrate Android applications with REST APIs and backend services.
Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve application bugs and performance issues.
Conduct code reviews and contribute to improving development practices.
Ensure applications are stable, responsive, secure, and optimised for different Android devices and versions.
Work closely with QA teams to identify and resolve issues before releases.
Participate in application releases, updates, and production support.
Stay updated with relevant Android development practices, tools, and platform changes.

Requirements:

4-8 years of hands-on experience in Android application development.
Strong experience with Kotlin and/or Java.
Good understanding of the Android SDK, Android Studio, and Android development lifecycle.
Experience building and maintaining production-grade Android applications.
Good understanding of Android UI development and responsive layouts.
Experience working with REST APIs, JSON, and backend integrations.
Understanding of Android architecture patterns such as MVVM, MVP, or Clean Architecture.
Experience with common Android development libraries and frameworks.
Good understanding of Git and version control.
Experience with debugging, crash analysis, and application performance optimisation.
Understanding of mobile application security and best practices.
Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
