About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and operate scalable data pipelines and data products within an Azure-based lakehouse environment. You will work with modern cloud technologies, drive engineering excellence, and take ownership of end-to-end data solutions that support business-critical analytics and reporting.

Your responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and data products on Azure lakehouse architecture
• Implement robust data engineering solutions following software engineering best practices
• Work with structured and semi-structured data using modern data formats and storage technologies
• Design and optimize data models supporting analytics and reporting needs
• Ensure data quality, security, reliability, and performance across the data platform
• Automate deployments and development workflows using CI/CD practices
• Collaborate with stakeholders, analysts, and engineers to deliver business value
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and platform evolution
• Provide technical guidance and promote engineering best practices within the team

Must have:

• Strong understanding of data warehousing, data modeling, lakehouse architecture, data formats, and data security
• Excellent SQL skills
• Good Python programming skills
• Hands-on experience with Databricks
• Strong knowledge of Git, CI/CD, shell scripting, and software engineering best practices
• Experience working with Azure-based data solutions
• Analytical mindset and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of delivered solutions

Nice to have:

• Experience with dbt
• Experience with Spark Declarative Pipelines
• Power BI knowledge, including semantic models and data modeling
• Experience with PySpark
• Knowledge of Databricks Unity Catalog and Databricks Asset Bundles
• Experience with Azure DevOps
• Familiarity with Power Automate
• Experience with MQ integrations
• Knowledge of Qlik Sense
