Fullstack Developer (Node.js, React) - AI Facial Recognition Security

About the Experience & Connectivity (E&C) Team:

The Experience and Connectivity team within Binance is dedicated to developing and upholding user-facing security products. Our current focus is on creating an internal AI-driven facial recognition security application for enhancing user safety and KYC verification processes. This product directly impacts the security of accounts and streamlines identity verification experiences for our vast user base.

Role Overview:

In the position of AI Fullstack Developer, you will take charge of both the frontend and backend development aspects of our proprietary facial recognition security product. This involves everything from designing requirements to deploying solutions into production. Collaborating closely with the AI algorithm team, you will integrate facial recognition, liveness detection, and other AI functionalities into our user-facing products.

Responsibilities Include:

• Developing frontend (React) and backend APIs (Node.js) for the in-house facial recognition security product, incorporating key processes like KYC verification, liveness detection, and face matching
• Working in coordination with the AI algorithm team to embed facial recognition and liveness detection models into both the frontend and backend of the product, creating efficient online inference services with high concurrency and low latency
• Designing and implementing user-friendly KYC verification platforms with a strong emphasis on security, stability, and positive user experience
• Leading the transition from a third-party vendor solution to an in-house solution, ensuring a seamless business shift
• Constructing a robust verification request architecture capable of handling high concurrency, which includes implementing caching strategies, queue management, and retry mechanisms
• Participating in project-related activities such as system architecture design, technology choice, code reviews, and adherence to engineering standards

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science or similar field
• 3-8 years of experience in frontend/fullstack development
• Proficiency in React (including React hooks, Redux/Zustand, Next.js) and TypeScript
• Hands-on experience in backend development with Node.js, encompassing RESTful API/GraphQL design, databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL), and caching (Redis)
• Familiarity with frontend tools (Vite/Webpack, ESLint, Prettier, pnpm)
• Experience in high-concurrency, low-latency system design or development
• Competence in AI-assisted development tools with practical experience
• Fluency in Mandarin to facilitate collaboration with teams based in China

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience at AI/computer vision companies in frontend/fullstack development
• Experience in building security products, identity verification, or KYC-related products
• Expertise in AI model engineering (model inference services, RAG systems, AI Agent architecture)
• Familiarity with Docker/Kubernetes/CI-CD pipelines
