Frontend Engineer

We are looking for a Frontend Engineer with strong hands-on experience in React.js, Next.js, and React Native. The ideal candidate should have experience building responsive web applications and mobile applications, developing reusable UI components, integrating REST APIs, and working closely with backend, product, design, and engineering teams. You will be responsible for designing, developing, optimising, and maintaining user-facing applications across web and mobile platforms

Responsibilities:

• Develop scalable, responsive, and high-performance applications using React.js, Next.js, and React Native.
• Build reusable and maintainable UI components and frontend architectures.
• Develop responsive web applications using React.js and Next.js .
• Build and maintain cross-platform mobile applications using React Native.
• Integrate frontend applications with RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Work closely with UI/UX designers to translate designs and wireframes into high-quality interfaces.
• Implement state management using technologies such as Redux, Redux Toolkit, Context API, or similar solutions.
• Optimise applications for performance, scalability, accessibility, and cross-browser compatibility.
• Implement Next.js features such as SSR, SSG, routing, API integration, and performance optimisation.
• Develop reusable mobile components and ensure consistent experiences across Android and iOS.
• Write clean, modular, reusable, and well-documented code.
• Participate in code reviews and follow frontend development best practices.
• Debug and resolve application issues across web and mobile platforms.
• Collaborate with backend engineers, product managers, QA engineers, and designers.
• Write unit/integration tests and contribute to maintaining application quality.
• Stay updated with modern frontend technologies, frameworks, tools, and development practices.

Requirements:

• 3-6 years of professional experience in frontend development.
• Strong hands-on experience with React.js .
• Strong experience with Next.js and modern web application development.
• Hands-on experience with React Native for mobile application development.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript / TypeScript, HTML5 and CSS3
• Experience with REST APIs, JSON, API integration, and asynchronous programming.
• Experience with Redux / Redux Toolkit / Context API or equivalent state-management solutions.
• Strong understanding of responsive web design and cross-browser compatibility.
• Experience with Git and version control systems.
• Understanding of frontend performance optimisation and debugging.
• Good understanding of component-based architecture and reusable UI development.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, build processes, and frontend deployment.

Good to Have:

• Experience with TypeScript.
• Experience with React Native CLI / Expo.
• Experience with Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress, or similar testing frameworks.
• Familiarity with Node.js and frontend build tools.
• Experience working with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Understanding of Docker and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with analytics, monitoring, and application performance tools.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Experience building applications for e-commerce, marketplaces, fintech, real estate, or B2B platforms.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Equivalent practical experience will also be considered.

• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and focus on user experience.
• Good communication and stakeholder-management skills.
